Hello Simon. I was amazed to see you and your work on the internet. I sort of knew you in he late 70s and early 80s. I was always impressed with your work. You may remember me as I bought the falcon model that you displayed in the cinema.
Kindest regards....An old aquaintance.
Thanks for your message Russ. I'd love to take a look at your work,
Best wishes,
Simon.
Hi Simon, I was introduced to your work through Scott Alexander of Atomic City - I've been a firm fan ever since! Breathtaking detail.
As a model maker and artist myself your work has inspired and helped me no end.
I'm so pleased to find your webpage, and to know you're a Scot as everone seems to be based in the US who said surfing was a waste of time!
Happy new year to you and my very best wishes.
Russ
Thank you!
Simon.
straylight says...Your artwork and collaboration with Piers Bizony has been a fitting tribute to the "2001" phenonmenon and has kept the dream of space exploration alive for many. I think what you accomplished was historic and monumental, since the original models were mostly destroyed and it must have been a massive challenge to have the pod rise out of ashes like a phoenix-from-the-flames! Great work and continued success.
Many thanks Ed - delighted you.ve enjoyed my work.
Simon.
Ed Parks says...To say that I am impressed with your works would be a gross understatement. Thank you for showing us all "If we really went into space, this is near what it would look like." Since time and reality has changed our outlook, somewhat; my model of the Orion III wears Delta Air Lines livery (don't worry, the next one will wear what we used to call B. O. A. C.!) You, Sir, are quite impressive. Thank you, again.

Hi Michael
Great site and awesome work, took me back to when I first saw 2001 in 1972 at just 8 years old, what a blast and the wonder of it all has never left me. Sometimes I wish they would do a remake (in the UK not US as they would ruin it) or better still I think Rendezvous with Rama would be a great movie...
Hello Simon. So glad I discovered your website. And yes, I'm gushing when I say that I have an ear to ear grin looking and marveling at your work. I can think of Veevers, Trumbull, Dykstra, Pederson, Howard, McCall and Atkinson and know wonder what it must be like having 2001 on the resume.
You are a master and I'm thrilled you have this website and your work for all to enjoy..
