The sheriff’s office is looking for Faulkner County man who fled police earlier this month.

The Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search of a Greenbrier residence Friday night in an unsuccessful attempt to locate 30-year-old Cody Brown.

According to the search warrant, deputies responded shortly after 10 p.m. Friday to 35 Watson Dr. in Greenbrier to look for Brown, who has a felony warrant filed against him for fleeing police on a motorcycle earlier this month.

FCSO was patrolling Highway 285 by Garrison Road on July 5 when a man, later identified as Brown, ran a stop sign and fled.

The deputy who attempted to pull over Brown noted he was driving erratically, according to a probable cause affidavit.

“I got behind the motorcycle traveling southbound on Hwy 285 activating my blue lights and sirens attempting to make a traffic stop [when] the motorcycle accelerated passing a vehicle on the shoulder at a high rate of speed,” the deputy wrote in his report.

Brown was riding a lime green Ninja Kawasaki motorcycle when he allegedly led police on a pursuit, as he turned onto Union Road and fled at speeds of up to 90 mph. Police later learned the motorcycle showed to be stolen out of Conway.

The affidavit also notes Brown nearly caused an accident when he passed a vehicle on Arrowhead Road.

The vehicle chase ended on Arrowhead when Brown wrecked out and a foot pursuit ensued.

“The driver was unable to negotiate the turns at Arrowhead and Burgess running the stop signs and wrecking out in the ditch,” the affidavit reads. “The driver then fled on foot westbound into the woods behind a house. While chasing the suspect on foot I deployed my taser hitting the suspect with one probe but it failed to stop the suspect.”

Brown led authorities on a chase through fields at a large animal rescue, Sallis Ranch Large Animal Rescue, located off Burgess Lane.

Deputies set up a perimeter around the ranch in an attempt to locate Brown but were unsuccessful in the hours-long search.

When deputies responded to the Greenbrier residence Friday another stolen motorcycle was found.

The blue and white motorcycle also showed to be stolen out of Conway.

According to the search warrant affidavit, the deputy who conducted the search warrant “spoke with a male subject by the name of Derek, (Woody), Newton who said he did not live there and was just waiting on Cody Brown and Mark Hartwick to arrive.

“The trailer has three surveillance cameras mounted on the outside of the home. It is believed Cody brown is in the home at this time.”

Brown, a parolee who now faces theft by receiving, a Class D felony, and misdemeanor fleeing charges, was not located at the residence Friday.

Spokesman Adam Bledsoe said anyone with information on Brown’s whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 501-450-4917. Tipsters can also remain anonymous by submitting information under the “Crime Tips” tab at www.fcso.ar.gov.
